The Family Day

Fetched Aunt Suet Lan for groceries shopping the other day, and finally we had lots of daily necessities, after went through few pharmacies and supermarkets. I paid granny a visit before we head for the shopping that morning. Granny looked tired and appetite-less, that just doesn't look like the usual her anyway.

We got home in the evening, and started to consume the sushi that we bought earlier from the supermart right after. We had skipped lunch for we had late breakfast, and also to settle the shopping list earlier and get home. But still mom couldn't rush for the dinner, as dad off work early that day and so we went for the alternative.

Had a fulfilling and delicious dinner at our usual makan place, while we enjoyed the night peacefully as a family. Sometimes, I would think its hard to keep all of us happy and enjoyable during the family gathering, though it's a small family that we had.

What can I say? Mom and dad were obviously individuals with different characters, and will seldom share common thoughts except when they have to. While I am more like the middle man most of the time, by sharing characters from both of them. But this middle man wouldn't work sometimes, as myself are a bad tempered person. =.= So it's not hard to imagine the situation that could be happen in our family, when we got into conflicts and cold wars.

Well, sometimes when I look at my family tree, I will find that I had a lot to treasure. A cold-faced dad, a strict mom, a always easy going and friendly granny, nice and generous uncles and aunts, cute and pretty counsins....... and the list goes on. :)

And like usual families, we will have conflicts and misunderstanding as well. But most of us in the family had shared a sense of humour in our gene, I would say. Not knowing inherited from who, but it did somewhat made us to be one of the most awesome and hilarious family that I've ever seen. XP Especially granny, I would say she is the coolest grandma to me.

It's not easy to deal with different people and situations in the family. But that's my lovely family, though not-easy-to-go-long-with yet always special to me. :)
